One piece or several parts?
A corner bench can have one continuous L-shaped cushion or separate straight cushions for each section. The L-shape looks calmer; separate cushions are easier to remove and wash.
For the corner there are dedicated shapes such as the corner cushion, or rectangles with an angled cut if the bench meets at an angle.
How to measure your corner bench
Measure the seat of each section from the wall to the outer edge, and the seat depth from the back wall to the front edge. For back cushions, measure the height of the backrest and the length of each section.
If you have old cushions that fitted well, you can use their measurements.
The right firmness
For seats used every day at mealtimes a firm foam makes sense because it does not sag. Back cushions can be softer. With the non-slip underside the cushion stays put even on smooth wooden benches.
Frequently asked questions
Can you reupholster my fixed upholstered corner bench?
No. We make loose cushions and covers. We do not reupholster fixed padding that is stapled or glued.
Can I order just new covers for my existing cushions?
Yes. In the configurator choose “No foam”. More on the page Corner bench covers made to measure.
Do the cushions slide on the bench?
With the “Non-slip underside” extra, the cushion gets an anti-slip base.
